Barstool Sports blogger Kevin Clancy admits to cheating on wife

Barstool Sports fixture Kevin Clancy acknowledged Saturday that his wife’s claims of infidelity are true.

KFC, as he is commonly known, copped to the accusations in a video to his nearly 300,000 Twitter followers.

“I have ruined my marriage, my family, and my life because I acted selfishly, I acted like a coward and I behaved like a boy when I should’ve behaved like a man,” he said.

“All I can do now… is act in a way that is best for my wife and kids because I didn’t do so in the past.”

The video of admission comes 24 hours after Caitlin Nugent Clancy took to her Instagram page to say that she caught Kevin red-handed, contacting one of his mistresses.

Kevin said he is prepared to “face this head on” and believes he deserves to be “ roasted, humiliated and mocked” for his actions.

“I want to own up to it. I want to apologize and not run and hide from it,” he said.

He noted that he will try and keep details of his affair private because he doesn’t want his two children to be ”dragged through the mud” because of “their stupid father.”

Caitlin’s post, which was briefly published on Kevin’s verified Instagram page also, explained that she caught her husband red-handed, “sending messages to his mistress who he’s apparently been seeing since I was 8 months pregnant.”

“Days before I gave birth, he was at a hotel in Manhattan with her. Days after I gave birth, he was then, too. The rug’s been pulled out from underneath me,” she wrote.

“I never in my wildest dreams suspected he was capable of doing this to me, my daughter and my son. The ‘kind, funny, relatable family man’ I thought I married is clearly lower, more insecure and more disrespectful than I ever imagined.”

Kevin dropped that mistress “like a hot potato” and moved onto another one, his wife claimed.

As part of his blogging work with Barstool Sports, Kevin also podcasts on KFC Radio. His show frequently tackles relationship questions from callers.

At the end of last summer, he recorded an entire episode about “relationship reparations.”

“How much money would you need your ex to pay you to make up for them cheating on you?” he tweeted ahead of the episode in July.

Kevin and Caitlin have been married since 2014.
