Soulja Boy, the rapper best known for yelling “YOUUUU” while cranking that, just released a gaming console and a handheld. He announced the news in November while live-streaming a session of Fortnite, as one does. The devices dropped this week on Soulja Boy’s product website, Soulja Watch.
The SouljaGame Console ($ 200) has 800 built-in games with access to “SOULJAGAME/PS/NEOGEO/PC/SEGA/GBA/NES” games, per the Soulja Watch. The SouljaGame Handheld (also $ 200) comes with 3,000 built-in games and plays “Switch/3DS/Vita/NEOGEO/GBC/Gameboy/GBA” games.

As Polygon points out, the devices are made and sold by Anbernic, which normally sells through a Chinese retailer, and are only different from Anbernic’s other devices because they have Soulja Boy’s name on them—but not literally, as there appear to be no distinguishable markings on the actual console or handheld. You get what you pay for. There also seem to be some issues of copyrights and legality here, but who wants to think about that when you could tell your friends you have a Soulja Boy gaming system?
Of his venture, Soulja Boy tweeted, “To the first person that purchased my console you just brought tears to my eyes. Tears of joy! Thank you so much for your support I promise to continue my tech company and evolve it in the gaming world. I’m just a kid with a dream.”
Now seems as good a time as any to play this, the best Christmas song of all time: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” mashed with “Crank That.” May your season be merry and bright.
