Aaron Carter was officially charged with DUI stemming from a July arrest on Thursday — just two days after leaving rehab.
Carter, 29, is facing multiple misdemeanor charges after a DUI refusal charge was filed earlier this month, TMZ reported. He was arrested in July in Habersham County, Ga., for possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects and failed field sobriety tests, according to the gossip site.
Carter and his then-girlfriend Madison Parker were arrested on July 19 after reportedly weaving “all over” the highway.
The singer was accused of drunken driving and possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The “I Want Candy” singer has had several issues with drugs since the arrest and just checked out of rehab this week after a two-month stint.
He shared a picture of himself working on music on Instagram with the caption, “focused.”
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a Daily News request for comment.
Parker, who was in the passenger seat during the arrest, and Carter later broke up after he publicly came out as bisexual.
The pop star recently lost his father to cancer and lost his 25-year-old sister Leslie to a drug overdose back in 2012.
